October 11, 1930 - January 12, 2018
Her ultimate love was competitive running.  She had a career that spanned 25 years and won thousands of races in her age group. 
She was awarded CARA (Chicago Area Runners Association) runner of the year several times, USTAF (US Track and Field) Masters runner of the year, Philadelphia Sports Writers Association athlete of the year, inducted into the Janesville Sports Hall of Fame, and Wisconsin Senior Olympics Hall of Fame. 
At one point in her career she was ranked #3 in the world in her age group.
